Welcome to the All-Night Bookstore, an experiment in collaborative storytelling. 

Peanut Underground invited 20 artists and 20 writers to our underground location on East 5th Street.  After randomly pairing them up, they gave them one simple task: to create a new work inspired by their partner.  And they did. The participants worked together throughout the month of July, and now that the works are all in, and are pleased to present a summer group show in the form of a book.

The original artworks and handwritten texts will be on view at Peanut Underground Art Projects through September 10, with a special artist’s reception and reading on Tuesday, Aug 21st at 7pm.

The ALL-NIGHT BOOKSTORE, published by Peanut Underground Press (or P.U.P. as they call it) is presented in an edition of 100 in an archival, 5½” x 5½” x 7½” clear acrylic box.  All artworks are archival inkjet prints on Rives BFK 100% cotton paper, and the texts are printed on recycled stock.  Each complete boxed set contains all 20 collaborations.

The edition will be offered at an initial price of $100.
