If you've created your account and signed on but not have been to your gallery:

PLEASE CLICK HERE TO GO TO YOUR GALLERY

If your're more interested in the upload process then...

Well, you're in luck because we've provided 9 different options to get video on the site. Most can be performed from your Video Gallery Album Upload Section.

You can use all the methods or none, it's up to you and how comfortable you are with technology. If you opt out and choose "none" for your method then you'll have to send us your submission via snail mail.

In short, the options are:

1) From Web Browser - works 100% in every browser.
2) From Local Server - 2 step process FTP then symlink in the Gallery - a bit more complicated.
3) From another Web Page - this is easy If your video is on another site, enter the URL and it appears in our gallery !
4) Upload Applet - one of the coolest ways - drag and drop baby ! - you'll need a modern browser and a JAVA capable OS.
5) Gallery Remote - THIS IS WAY COOL ! Download the App and upload from your desktop ! You'll need a JAVA capable OS.
6) Windows XP Publishing - COMING SOON
7) FTP Client - you provide the FTP software and we'll send you the login info - for your very large files.
8) Alternate FTP link - DO NOT USE UNLESS WE ASK YOU TO.
9) Snail Mail - tried and true - send it US Mail, UPS, Fed-EX, Pony Express, we'll compress it and put in your gallery for you.

OK - Let's get those video online !

Detailed instructions for each method In the section below.

1) From Web Browser.

This is the easiest way and most effective for first time users.
a) Locate your album in our Gallery. (HINT: use the "MY [PAM] VIDEOS" link in the user menu) . In most cases it will be empty and without a thumb nail. Select "Edit Album" from the Drop down list.
b) From your album page select "Add Items" from the menu to uplod one or several videos.
c) From the Add Items Tab menu select "From Web Browser".
d) Select the "Choose File" button. A dialog box will open that will ask you to choose a file from any location on your coputer. A properly selected file will return the file name and an icon next to the "Choose File" button. (see above : blueworld.mov)
e) Now is a good time to choose display a name for you movie. By default our Gallery will use the files name, you may enter an alternate name in the "Caption Box". Make sure to that you have selected this option at the bottom of the page. You can always edit the name as well as other display attributes later.
f) You can also upload up to 4 movies at this time. File size and your connection speed will dictate the waiting time while the file uploads to our server. Keep in mind you have a maximum limit of 128mb which is also the quota on you gallery album.
g) Once you are happy with you selections and naming options select the "Add File" and the upload will begin. Depending on the browser you have you may or may not get a progress meeting. Please wait THIS WILL WORK.
HINT:  after your upload is complete selelect "Edit Movie" to adjust the auto thumbnail and other text attributes of your movie. We'll have a FAQ for these option real soon.

2) From Local Server

YOU SHOULD ONLY BE USING THIS OPTION IF WE ASKED YOU TO.
a) Locate you Album in the Gallery and select "Edit Album" and then "Add item". This will bring you to the add items page. Select the "From Local Server" tab. (see picture above "Fron Web Browser step c)

b)
Select the directory path button to strart enetering the EXACT loaction. Append the file location with "/your_video.mov" .

c) a confirmation window wil then open and make sure to check the item that you have selected and choos "add item".

3) From Web Page

a) Enter the exact URL of where your movie is loacted on another server or web site.

b) Make sure you have entered the correct url.  Select "Find Files" and our server will them attempt to find the files on that site and create a symbolic link.

C) If you have enterd a correct URL then the confirm page will return without any errors.  Confirm your selection by checking off the URL you wish to add and finalize your selection by the "Add URL's" button.

a) Select  the "Remote Applet"  tab from the "Add Items" page.  If your broaswer is capable then the Upload applet will load - If it says "Another version is running" hit your browser refresh. You then see a window that looks like this.

b)
Users have 2 option to get files into the upload window. The picture above shows a user with an OS X Finder window open to a directory where their Quicktime videos are stored. This user then just has to "drag -n - drop" into the upload window on the Applet.  Users my add as many fils as the wish wich is great for BATCH UPLOADING !

A second method is to use the "Add Pictures..." Button. The Applet will then ask the user to locate the files on their computer.
