SMartCAMP
SMartCAMP
is the first conference of its kind focusing on the social web as it
relates to the arts.
March 5th – 7th 2010
Roger Smith Hotel
501 Lexington Ave.
New York, NY 10017
Mission:
SMartCAMP
is the first conference of its kind focusing on the social web as it
relates to the arts. In this 2 day conference, we aim to examine how
various social media tools are being utilized by artists and arts
organizations to communicate with audiences, build vibrant and loyal
communities on an international scale, and continue to spread
enthusiasm for the arts. There’s no denying that these social
communication channels are quickly becoming a vital part of every
organization’s outreach strategy, and savvy artists and arts orgs are
taking note.
Description:
SMartCAMP
is a “survey” conference spanning some of the most important topics in
social media as it relates to the cultural sector. It is designed to
help those who are new to or skeptical of social media put together a
course of action with the help of presentations and case studies from
some leading figures working at the intersection of art and social
media. For those who have already been engaging in social media, SMartCAMP
offers an opportunity to deepen their knowledge, hone new skills,
refine social engagement strategies and gain inspiration for future
social campaigns from distinguished peers and colleagues. For social
media professionals looking to work with arts organizations, SMartCAMP
offers an opportunity to learn about the challenges unique to the
cultural space.
