Hi [PAM]:
2 years ago today we officially launched PerpetualArtMachine.com with
our first call for artists. Our first exhibition was held at the 2006
Scope New York Art Fair.
At that time, we innocently thought it would be
our only show, but 20 plus exhibitions later we have stuck it out
and [PAM] has grown into a wonderful community of artists and
friends all sharing the same desire to advance the artform. Its been a
fun and challenging ride for us all and we look forward to the future
with new changes that we hope will make everyones
experience on the website more enjoyable. Major kudos must go out to Chris Borkowski who has tirelessly built and managed the [PAM] website from day one. 24 months later and many hours of lost sleep and maybe even some gray hair we have push forward with very little monitary support, just a deeply rooted love and desire to support video art and the artist who deadicate themselves to it.

The above video by John Cage and Roland Kirk, Sound 1966, was one of the first videos we posted to the site as we were teaching ourselves how to use the open source Joomla content management system
that we had recently installed on our site. Well worth the time to view and listen to this historic document of two genius artists discussing sound and life. It is part of their mutual quest to explore the boundless possibilities of sound and the avant garde that now enable and inspire all of us to explore the ever more expanding universe of video and new media.
In addition to countless others, [PAM] must make a major shout out to Alexis Hubshman, our partner and friend that has supported us from the very beginning and has featured [PAM] in 6 Scope Art Fairs. In the next couple days we will be announcing our third annual Scope New York open call for video to be screened and featured at Lincoln Center, March 26-30, 2008.

[PAM] The Perpetual Art Machine, 2001-2006(8), Reflections on the first
five (seven) years of the millennium, is an interactive multimedia spectacle of
progressive video, new media and internet art.
By means of a
select call for video, artists are invited to participate in this
unique experiment in the development of new curatorial technologies. If
you are here you may submit.
[PAM] is a research project
examining these artists and how they are responding to the turbulent
beginnings of a new millennia. These timely artists and collectives
show, through video, a strangely prophetic view of our ever-shrinking
world, juxtaposing mundane, everyday existence with a direct political
commentary on new contemporary life.
[PAM] is a democratic understanding between a computer and the viewer/user.
We look forward to a future with all of you.
Love,
[PAM]
