The future is a funny concept

does the technology power the art or do the artists use whatever is handy? The dynamic at the moment is a fake populist one. No more video artists because youTube makes everyone a video artist! The only trouble is that the videos are lame and not very thoughtful. They tend to be one line jokes or political adverts or adverts for perverts. Anyone who is serious about video art can immediately step back from youTube and critique it or parody it or ignore it.
