How have new technological tools helped/hindered you practice?

 digital is different
I started doing video performance work in the 1970's. This involved a b&w video camera and a tape deck. It was reflexive structuralist self-referential; You in front of the camera and interact somehow. This moved into performance art in other people's video and no-wave cinema pieces(Richard Serra, B movies, Charlie Ahearn) and punk performance work. Recently I have started this again but now I do performance for post production. I do movements and sounds that I feel will have meaning if they are magnified and multiplied when I import to final cut.

This extends the discourse beyond the camera. I digitize myself and them sample and mash-up the results.
