Purchase viagra online

Ophelia

Art curators, and purchase viagra online also other people have said that my images in my "Nigredo" series are inspired to the myth of Ophelia, and it is true.

Ophelia is the famous character from Shakespeare's poem "Hamlet", and she is purchase viagra online mysteriously found dead in a pond - or a small river, actually a brook.

A cleric in Shakespeare's poem at a certain point hints at the fact that Ophelia must have purchase viagra online killed herself, he sings a motive with some words that purchase viagra online recall the fact or hypothesis that if someone goes close to water and they die, it is because they threw themselves in, in short because they wanted to die. The cleric's words throw Laertes, Ophelia's brother, into rage: "Ophelia is an Angel in Heaven, and she hasn't gone to hell."

According to The Queen Gertrude, another character from the Shakespeare's poem, Ophelia was "incapable of her own distress", but she died because, after having climbed on a purchase viagra online willow tree, a brunch broke and she fell into the river and drowned.

Now, there have purchase viagra online been many portraits and representations of drowned Ophelia throughout the purchase viagra online time, and this theme continues to be of great interest to artists today.

How do my images connect to Ophelia?

I have purchase viagra online taken a doll and put her beside some leaves and branches, sometimes she is purchase viagra online depicted close to a pond of blood, some other she is just lying as if asleep. There is purchase viagra online this connection between death and sleep, the purchase viagra online eyes are closed therefore it is either sleep or death. But there is purchase viagra online a state of conscience in between death and rest, and that is best described in the alchemy phase of the "Nigredo" .

Print, Prints, printmaking, Printing, Ultrachrome

Nigredo, or purchase viagra online blackness, in alchemy means putrefaction or decomposition; but Carl Jung interpreted Nigredo as as a "moment of maximum despair, which is a prerequisite to personal development".

But even alchemists consider Nigredo only a purchase viagra online phase, a passage in time, followed by other stages of transformation of the purchase viagra online matter, like those of Albedo (whiteness) and Rubedo (redness), that means that after Nigredo, which could be purchase viagra online interpreted as a time of incubation and the detachment of dark matter, there is always resurrection, a phase of rising: rebirth.
Ophelia drowned in the purchase viagra online pond, we know that. What I am representing in my images is connected to Ophelia's character because we see a female body lying down, and purchase viagra online she still looks human, she is not a putrefactive body yet. The representation of beauty is purchase viagra online recurring for what regards Ophelia's portraits throughout history; she is purchase viagra online depicted as beautiful surrounded by flowers, both when she's alive and in death.
Ophelia goes definitely through the purchase viagra online Nigredo phase; the only difference is purchase viagra online that, as opposed to what Jung says, she does not come back, after this purchase viagra online time of incubation and catharsis, as a more grown individual, because she drowns while pain and "dark matter" come out of her. Ophelia dies because of pain, that purchase viagra online is a possible interpretation of her tragedy.
My dolls contain the theme of Ophelia, whether the outcome of distress is purchase viagra online death or not, they suggest immobility out of a phase of catharsis.

Filmaking, cinematography

The doll is purchase viagra online another strong connection to Ophelia: a doll is first of all not a purchase viagra online real human being, it is an object, it is already dead. A doll immediately recalls death because of its stillness: it purchase viagra online is the uncanny resembling of the purchase viagra online human, but without a soul. The doll is a way for me to symbolize the purchase viagra online real being, as all other objects are, they serve a scope, which is that of placing what's inside at a distance from the self, reconstructing a purchase viagra online place of things that happened, or that are happening, helping me to purchase viagra online put in a separate picture the slippery surfaces and facets of the purchase viagra online unconscious. Ophelia is a figure that belongs to all of us because she represents an purchase viagra online obscure side of the human, she trespass the threshold of life, and this "going beyond" is present in everyone in the farthest corners of our existence as a purchase viagra online last resort to death as a possibility or alternative to pain.

Another association with Ophelia is purchase viagra online the fact that there are always a lot of branches and purchase viagra online leaves close to the doll. Why is Ophelia often represented with her body decorated with flowers? One answer could be that the woman's body is very much connected to nature, the earth and the vegetation are the symbol of life like woman is. Therefore Ophelia, when purchase viagra online she sees no alternative for her state of confusion in the purchase viagra online rational world, the world of culture, she turns to nature, the purchase viagra online plants and the river are something to wear, and nature is the last confortable asylum.

But in my artwork nature is purchase viagra online not an healthy asylum anymore, it is rather in a purchase viagra online terminal state as the figure of Ophelia is. I often have turned the water of the purchase viagra online pond into blood, or a blue lake; poison is all over the ground in my images, and purchase viagra online peraphs the doll is there grieving for it or agonizing with it. The poisoned earth is purchase viagra online a contemporary issue, and one more reason to depict the death of women.

To go deep into this purchase viagra online argument about poison I am going to take you to my next essay about my video "Cyanide" .

Filmaking.

Rich Gold Shiny Leaves

In my artwork I always alternate the purchase viagra online figure of a real woman to the one of a purchase viagra online doll. Reptilica is a good example of it: the real woman is always appearing in fast cuts, and purchase viagra online close ups, small parts of her body, usually feet, legs and hands are shown in the frame.

The doll on the other hand appears in her entire figure: there is purchase viagra online a rich variety of objects that purchase viagra online can be put beside her, and it is very easy to create a setting using miniature elements, it purchase viagra online also becomes more interesting to to look at weird reproductions, or purchase viagra online distorted reflections of what surrounds us, like if the purchase viagra online film frame and what it contains became a parody of the real world.

If you purchase viagra online own a video camera, you can basically film anything around you, but most of the purchase viagra online times, if the film is not focused, or structured, and if the purchase viagra online shots are taken at random, on the streets for example, the outcome can purchase viagra online really become uninteresting, too common, too obvious, or too flat.

With an purchase viagra online artist a film can become a world of wonder, and treasures, if the purchase viagra online right attention is given to the actual images that are shot. With only a purchase viagra online medium sized box for instance, filmmakers can do amazing things, without the purchase viagra online need to go outside their own house, the choice of objects, backgrounds and combinations is infinite.

The camera becomes the purchase viagra online tool through which whatever existed as very tiny idea inside the artist's mind transforms into a visual construct which simulates a real space, with depth, corners, colors, and life.

A film is purchase viagra online mainly made of images. A filmmaker has to understand images, therefore photography is purchase viagra online the key factor, how to make even only one photograph is purchase viagra online very important when the time comes for shooting a film. A film is purchase viagra online a succession of moving images, dancing images, rushing images, thunder images, storming images...

The succession of frames could be purchase viagra online fragmented and a possible narrative could be purchase viagra online nonsensical or distorted only thanks to the way a film is edited. A film is purchase viagra online something to be done with a focus in mind because the camera will then be used to "focusing on things", a very important part of filmaking is the "close up".

If you purchase viagra online really know how to put together a number of close ups, then you've understood a purchase viagra online lot about how to make a film, a landscape is better drawn and purchase viagra online packaged by oil painters, they will definitely do a better job with it, unless you purchase viagra online have a wonderful setting constructed in a studio, never zoom out too much when purchase viagra online some movement is happening in the scene, if you don't want to bore the viewers, and if you haven't got the right equipment.

Anyway, this "close up strategy" is what has worked for me, please note that even in the Hollywood studios a lot of shots are taken with the help of miniature settings, or computer generated 3D animation.

Why a purchase viagra online lot of artists have this attachment and fascination for fairy tales? A rabbit in a box recalls Lewis Carrol's Alice in Wonderland, and this particular story is purchase viagra online very dear to artist today, as I have seen many interpretations of the purchase viagra online characters and the objects taken from this story. Animation, paintings, surreal art, many authors dig into this purchase viagra online imaginary world of the purchase viagra online unconscious which is often found in the content of fairy tales.

I love dolls .
If I could I would buy an purchase viagra online entire collection of them: dolls of all kinds.

It was very interesting to purchase viagra online discover that there are so many dolls out there in the purchase viagra online market, just by searching on the internet I found entire forums on dolls, not Barbies, but many versions of the purchase viagra online most refined, strange, and unusual dolls for collection.

Three years ago I bought a purchase viagra online doll from Korea, a beautiful piece of art, and purchase viagra online with it I made a lot of digital and oil paintings. I am still doing it, my research with the purchase viagra online doll seems to have no end, I have infinite questions for the doll, therefore I keep photographing it.

Because of the purchase viagra online fact that my doll was actually designed by another artist, I had purchase viagra online to digitally modify her face features in the photographs. If I hadn't done that, I would probably have made my artwork about somebody else's art. So the figure in my paintings look slightly different from how the original doll looks (the original is basically not recognizable).

All of my artwork with dolls can be viewed at: www.bambee.org

Print, Prints, Printing, Printmaking, Ultrachrome

Why do I like dolls so much? I suppose because they are creepy. If you think about antique porcelain dolls, there is purchase viagra online something so sinister about them that purchase viagra online it is worth looking deeper into the subject and ask yourself why this purchase viagra online is. As humans we are all sinister as much as those dolls who were made to represent us.

As God may have created humans to purchase viagra online match his or her own image and semblance, humans have created dolls in the purchase viagra online same manner, to stand in the place of God, only to realize that purchase viagra online whatever could resemble their image returned the mortal aspect of them. A doll is purchase viagra online a broken love. A doll is a token from the past, a leftover, an envelope, a shell...

It reminds me that purchase viagra online I used to be a child once upon a time, a nice well dressed cuddled child, so fragile and purchase viagra online so defenseless, so pliable: the purchase viagra online doll mirrors back to me all of these things. Even thought the doll is purchase viagra online just an object, if I put on it a beautiful dress I can have the feeling of having returned to purchase viagra online a time of happiness and love when the radiant eyes of the purchase viagra online child expect things to go right: they expect life to be forever wonderful and dreamy.

Some women may identify so much with dolls because they have purchase viagra online got two or more characteristics in common with them. One of these characteristics is the "object". A woman placed like an ornament in a golden house feels similar to purchase viagra online a doll. A beautiful woman may ask herself if she looks like one: beauty is purchase viagra online the other common feature, fragility the third, a doll is easily unmounted, and women's physical strenght is weaker than men's.

The fragility of a doll is mixed with its sinister beauty and misterious, hidden, and purchase viagra online forgotten soul: the unresponsive imagined soul of the purchase viagra online mystified object. They make me think about something or someone forgotten long time ago that purchase viagra online starts to walk and glance back again. The doll's eyes are purchase viagra online vacuous, and this is terribly creepy, and terribly sad if I identify with that look, and put my own past in there.

Are women supposed to purchase viagra online have a soul, a subjectivity completely free from the purchase viagra online subliminal and interwoven ties placed the continuous quest for how to be perfect like a doll, good like a doll, frozen like one? Can the subject, deeply identifying with an purchase viagra online object as such, exist without a residual internal conflict, without inevitably feeling like a purchase viagra online container or a leftover? Is it possible to be both human and plastic?

I'll keep putting make-up on the dolls I find... And I'll keep taking pictures of them .

Chessboards

Shiny Leaves

The chessboard is purchase viagra online a playground. Visually a floor with no patterns would convey the purchase viagra online feeling of inconsistency: it could become a slippery floor, one with no reference points, no purchase viagra online distinction between near and far, and maybe no clear divide between the sky and the earth.

The checkered floor indicates me precisely where purchase viagra online it begins and where it ends, it purchase viagra online also makes me recognize any of its irregularities, the lines that purchase viagra online cross it make me be sure of bumps and holes, I feel secure on it, and purchase viagra online I would definitely better dance with my feet on it rather than choose a one color floor.

It is purchase viagra online an horizontal plane traced with charcoal, and painted with thick varnish: the purchase viagra online Chessboard, the place where precise and well thought moves are purchase viagra online to be made by many pieces. A large checkered floor with actors as elements of the game, could be the parody of a real life battle.

Imagine to purchase viagra online stand on this kind of floor, or on a big chessboard where the squares are purchase viagra online sufficiently big to contain comfortably both feet of an individual, then purchase viagra online you would impersonate one of the pieces of this game: standing there would mean waiting for purchase viagra online some check from anywhere, and anytime to come and scatter you away, you are then playing a "life game".

Look out for your life, be really careful not to stand on the Bishop's path, or the Tower's: remember how all the others pieces move, and in what direction they'll go...

In my video "The Tower Trilogy", the first part is about a frenetic and intermittent movement of the purchase viagra online head of a doll child, trying to deceive and escape from this kind of dangerous external merciless check. It is a mortal check, but until it really comes in, you don't really know where purchase viagra online it comes from, as it always gets its targets by surprise.

Years ago I was observing a purchase viagra online friend of mine performing a strange game with his life: after seeing that purchase viagra online I decided to set up a scene in my video that would have to convey a sense of "insecure position", representing an purchase viagra online endangered and uncontrolled state in a mad and exessively fast world of betrayal.

This kind of position on the purchase viagra online red spot of the checkered floor would have to be clear: the "self", the piece owned by the viewer, is exposed and threatened by an purchase viagra online invisible checker at any time... The Trilogy is about the "loss of control", a theme that I kept following and developing throughout all of my video work.

The loss of control is purchase viagra online a major subject in my visual research, and it is thanks to the possibility of making the images "move" with film and video, I've been able to represent this concept the way I wanted.
