Short Bio:	(b. 1983) Dublin based, multimedia artist. Honours BA in Fine Art, 2007, IADT Dun Laoghaire. In 2006 my focus was on breakdown in communication within the household which resulted in two video installations called *window* and *channel 2.* This year I explored relationships that develop via the internet in an interactive media installation entitled *age/sex/location?* Since then, I have worked with electronic technology further by giving it a persona in order for it to mirror the flaws in contemporary culture and within the artwork as commodity in a video installation entitled *An Electronic Monologue* EDUCATION (2006 - 2007) BA (Hons) in Fine Art Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Dun Laoghaire Grade: 1st Class Honours (2003 - 2006) BA in Fine Art Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Dun Laoghaire Grade : Distinction AWARDS (2006) ASEF (Asia - Europe Foundation) Scholarship Selected to represent Ireland along with 19 other artists from Asia and Europe for the 4th ASEF New Media Art Camp held in Helsinki, Finland, to work on sound based project entitled Hearing Helsinki (2006) Darklight Film Festival Short-listed for the Newcomer Award, thus featuring at the Festival Launch & Awards Ceremony EXHIBITIONS UPCOMING: RDS Student Art Travelling Exhibition Sean Hollywood Arts Centre, Newry, Co. Laura Buckley	Created On: 03-30-07 05:00:10 The Chelsea experience is a good one, I'll finish the masters this November. Great staff, facilities, and a wonderful diverse bunch of classmates, the only problem is studio space, not enough at postgraduate level. Also the timing is weird, the course starts in January and runs through the whole summer. They moved from Chelsea to Millbank a couple of years ago so still have to work out some teething stuff. But its going well, excited with new work and having fun with sound for the first time. How is lovely Dublin? I do miss it, heading home next week for a break, must do a few gallery visits. Any shows you would recommend? Are you studying also? Darklight and DEAF - great stuff!
