Born 1977 in Co. Galway,Ireland, Laura Buckley currently lives and works in London.

On completion of her BADegree at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, in 2000, she curatedshows (Group 6/Painted) and exhibited work in a variety of galleries inIreland and Northern Ireland.

In 2003 Laura moved toLondon. In September 2006 she completed a Post Graduate Diploma withdistinction at Chelsea College of Art and Design, and had her first group showin the USA. In December 2006 she curated House Show which took placein London Fields, and featured the painting, sculpture and film work of 8emerging London artists.

In 2007 Laura completed aMasters Degree in Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art and Design, London, whereher MA Show was purchased by the Zabludowicz Collection. This work is to bereinstalled at Project 176, London, in September 2008.  During March and April At TheSummerhouse (Finland, 2007) was featured in the Derek Jarman Film Programme for theSerpentine Gallery, London.  Laurahas recently been nominated for the 2008 Sovereign European Art Prize.

In May 2008 Laura exhibited anew installation at the inaugural show for the Bruuns Bazaar project space inMayfair, where her work was acquired by the David Roberts Collection.  In June this year she is exhibiting ina group show at Spring Projects in London.  This year her work will also feature in shows in Lisbon andPrague.
