| Short Bio: |
My work is composed of multi media installations, video vignettes, and photographic projects. Connecting one to the other is an exploration of human limitations and endurance.
Through research in psychology, specifically the relationship between masochism and femininity, I have come to question Self versus Other-possessed. I am interested in how one establishes boundaries and what defines or dictates one’s tether to the “Earth.”
I am fascinated by human motivations and behavior, non-verbal communication, and visual literacy. I provoke disruptions by establishing the rules and barriers necessary
to perforate. They are the means to highlighting and exploring the
fertile and at once tenuous and sturdy moments of not knowing.
Between 2000 and 2005, I was a visiting artist, assistant professor in the department of Transmedia at Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY. I currently live and work in Los Angeles, CA.
