ARTIST'S STATEMENT

chris lael larson is an artist and musician who lives and works in portland, oregon, usa. he creates dynamic collages from hand-sequenced digital still images. flowing layers of color, shape and texture together into surreal meditations on physical and emotional landscapes, his kinetic abstractions posess a unique feels. stylistically, his motion works simultaneously reference abstract painting, collage and contemporary photography.chris prefers to have the work speak for itself.
when not experiementing with motion/color/sound, chris creates music and accompanying synched (projected) visuals as the head of the group antlerand, takes many many photographs and designs objects that exist in two dimensions.
