Simone Stoll

studied in Berlin and London, has lived in France, Iceland and continuesto travel the world, her recent video projects have been realized in Germany and in the USA.

Her research is based on body and mind, human studies interwoven with herpersonal experience. Earlier in form of painting, she now concentrates ondrawing, photo and video.

She has collaborated with neuro-scientists andmulti-media artists. Her work is intimate, sometimes raw and always poetic insearch for beauty. Her means are simple and direct; she is the sole performerof her videos and model to photos.

She has been artist-in-residence with theMuseum of Reykajvik, the Academy of the Arts Berlin and art centers in France.Her work can be found in European collections and has been shown in Canada,Europe and the USA. In 2007, was part of the Biennale of Québec and receivedthe Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant. Her videos have been screened at festivals in Europe, Canada and the US.
