MichaB BrzeziDski, born in 1975, artist, curator in Centre for Contemporary Arts "Aaznia" in GdaDsk, a graduate of film studies at the Media and Audiovisual Culture Department at the University of Aodz. MA thesis entitled Subject, Body, Identity. A Contribution to Cybercultural Anthropology completed in 2003. An artist and video theoretician, a specialist on the visual media, such as TV, DVD and the Internet. An organizer of video training workshops and author of a TV programme devoted to video. His work combines the tradition of video art and experimental cinema and is a reflection on the phenomenon of identity in the world of the new media. In order to define video art and describe its functioning in society, he introduces the notions of VIRUS-VIDEO or VIDEO-IDENTITY. To him, video is the only appropriate language of the new media.
His work was presented in Józef Robakowski's Programme "Polish Found Footage 1957-2004", at Rzeznia Miejska while the II Art Fair in PoznaD. Additionally, BrzeziDski's exhibitions were displayed at Lublin Art Gallery, Space-twoentwo Gallery in London and as a part of Galeria Wymiany collection: "New Video Energies" at the Art Centre of PoznaD and "DVD - new video energies" at the Manhattan Gallery in Aódz. Moreover, he took part in Krzysztof Jurecki's lectures entitled "Supplement to the history of Polish experimental cinema and Polish video art (1983-2006)" held in the Centre for C ontemporary Arts "Aaznia" in GdaDsk, at the "Kont" Art Gallery in Lublin, the "Wozownia" Art Gallery in ToruD, the Centre for Contemporary Arts "Zamek Ujazdowski" in Warsaw. A one-man exhibition of his work Peer Gynt took place at A. Rubinstein's Concert Hall in Aódz. Other solo exhibitions were held at the Arsenal Art Gallery in BiaBystok, the "Bunkier Sztuki" Art Gallery in Cracow and Art Museum in Aódz. He participated in two shows at the Biennial of Aódz in 2006.
His artistic output has been described and commented on in Exit and Obieg magazine. In Art Eon, Krzysztof Jurecki called him the most outstanding video theoretician. The exhibitioner of Minister of Culture and the National Heritage on 2008.

World reaches to man across light mainly. With every day we larger
weight apply to technological light of screens, than to sunny light.
Both the screens of imagination, as and the technological screens cover
us to this degree our existence, that we used to identify with only
existing form of existence the projection. One meddle from second, the
stereotypes create the, mediumistic creations, of icon of culture,
politicians, simulacres... We reduce to light world and light becomes
with essence of world. The world is for emanation of light the
background, screen our life and the part of answer on question about
our identity. Our, devoid material essence, internal light is second

different world, on internal screen. It is then opposition between
aesthetics found footage, and aesthetics closed - eye - vision.
It was can say that the video as medium is suitable to spining on
subject of identity the reflection ideally, because the paintings of
video unbutton between aesthetized with space of medias and the texts
of culture, between internal visions – the clean abstraction of
feelings and the states of mind, and the completely new quality for
present art, what is the aesthetics the home of video. It is the mirror
the present day which portrays emotional shape and spiritual, the
aesthetics, and also the approach to matters of corporeality of,
privacy, family surroundings. Video penetrates reality very exactly,
and every painting grows to rank of symbol simultaneously. Present
video is so also acting visible medium this, what visible it earlier
was not, as and keeping medium visible. It demands from us complement
visible about our own experiences of world; the formulation of world in
frame, the conferment of sense and the context. Author's works becomes
devoid interpretation very often. Arranged in project from naked
paintings, hardly preened up with necessary subjectivity of statement,
completed only by recepient theoretically on own responsibility.
Practically however the democracy of present art gives us the choice of
option in grounds of system always.
