Elizabeth White is an interdisciplinary artist based in New York. Her work includes strategies of photography, video, performance, installation, and social interaction and has been shown in New York, Washington, DC, Arizona, and Berlin. She has been honored with an Aaron Siskind Fellowship and the support of the Hattie Strong Foundation and was featured in the “Discover New Talent” section of ArtInfo.com. She holds an M.F.A. in photography, video, and related media from the School of Visual Arts, a B.A. in sociology from Vassar College, and has completed additional studio and academic coursework in New York at the International Center of Photography, Pratt Institute, New York University, Hunter College, and the Art Students League, and in Mexico at the Instituto Allende and Maldonado Studio.
In addition to her own practice, Elizabeth teaches digital literacy and design at Ramapo College of New Jersey and the City University of New York, and has been a guest critic at Parsons and Sarah Lawrence. She also maintains the blog, Hot Art Action!, compiling listings of interesting art talks and events around New York.
