monoperrois the name I adopted some years ago and under which I am producing mywork. This work is developed in between diverse fields as sound-art,video-art, performance, and the plastics arts.
The common pointbetween these disciplines is the exploration of the anthropologicaldimension of the inhabitants in big contemporary cities, as well astheir tribal and wild dimension, so my work is more symbolic thanconceptual, or even religious.
In this sense and due to internal coherence, the development of my work is more intuitive rather than rational.
Mycurrent work is focused around the use of 2.0 web tools in Internet, aswell as in the field of performance from a non-academic point of view,something I named uncultured art. From this intention to de-cultivate art (some kind of acculturation), came my interest in new tools within internet, that are as expansive and little unspecific, as well as fluid. |
