Title of Submission 1: Walamundun-gari (follow along creek)
Author of Title 1: Thomas Ardizzone
Title 1 lenght: 1 minute 42 seconds
Title 1 Description: Didgeridu and Dreamtime imagery. The inspiration for Walamundun-gari (Follow along creek) is a love song from the Australian Aborigine of Arnhem Land. A didgeridoo (traditional Aboriginal musical instrument) is used for the soundtrack. Visuals of the natural world are woven with images of shadow theater and a dreamtime painting to reveal the tracking and discovery of the aesthetic spirit in nature.
Dedicated to Eddie Kneebone of the Pangerang people. Film and music by Thomas Ardizzone

Hi Thomas!
Thanks for the comment - I didn't know about it (I was out from the world w/ illness for a while) until yesterday.
I don't hear a lot of digeridoos in my day to day but I find them intriguing. Very cool work!
Best,
Christy

Thanks Thomas, I appreciate your comments. We share a news background and at times, I think it gives us a unique, un-postmodern empathy towards violence and suffering in the world. I try to work through this issue in my art videos whenever I can. After listening to your video piece, I am facinated by the didgeridoo. You used it to great effect. Do you own one? Is it difficult to play? It's sound is hypnotic and primal. I want one. -Tim

I appreciate your kind words on my videos, Thomas.
I've checked your "Walamundun" - very... inspired indeed; don't know if you'd be interested in sending it to Videolab...
