Matt was born in Philadelphia. He received his BFA from the Pennsylvania State University, and his MFA from the University of Buffalo (Visual Studies Workshop).
Matt is a private art dealer, specializing in the acquisition and secured transportation of 19th century European Barbazon, Impressionest and Pre Modernist oil paintings. These paintings are obtained from both Western Europe, as well as, the former Eastern Bloc countries. His acquisitions have been featured and sold in major auction houses worldwide. They are also included in both public and private collections.
Matthew is a well known collector of video art. He is a secondary market maker, of works by the worlds most celebrated and collected video artists.
Matthew consults and advises various auction houses, collectors,and galleries in matters concerning due diligence, provenience and authenticity of their artwork. |
