Zohar Kfir is a video artist whose work includes
experimental video, interactive art, net.art and writing.
She holds
a BFA in Digital Media from Camera Obscura School of Arts in Tel
Aviv,
and a MPS Degree from NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications
Program.
She is now completing her MFA in Open Media at Concordia
University in Montréal.
Zohar has shown her video works in galleries and video festivals
in Israel, Europe and USA,
including Transmediale [2003-2004]; Vad
Festival, NYUFF, FACT Liverpool; ICA Center for the arts in Boston;
Makor Gallery in NYC; and the Jerusalem Film Festival.
Her time-based works focus formally on the isolation of single
instances from the continuous flow of video data, using these
images in turn to create painterly,
emotive collages.
Currently,
she is interested in investigating non-linear forms of story telling
using interactivity.

URBAN SHIFT | 4:30min 2002 | A composition constructs a journey into imagery. A journey which walks through and bypasses a link
between the natural world to metropolitan environments. A shifted dream like reality fixates itself to an extreme phase until it collapses. |

Your compositions perpetually expand and shift with intangible form as their vehicle and sound as their propeller in a progressively engaging manner. I enjoy 'em tremendously. I would like to see what you'd do without filters and transparency, though.
