Nicole Rademacher was born in 1978 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her work stems from her interest in language - spoken, written, body. She looks at communication in all of its varied forms.She began studying architecture, where she then discovered the still camera, and subsequently the moving image. She received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and MFA from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University in the Electronic Integrated Arts program. She has exhibited and screened work internationally, including Chicago, New York; Berlin; Nantes, France; Barcelona, Spain; and Beijing, China.
