Artist Statement:
What I am doing are time-based film-rhetorical and conceptional experiments in a performative way. Usually, I am the sole character in all of my video clips, I am writing the script, I do the camera as
well as light and sound, in short: everything. I am also working on still photography documenting
my work. These photographs can become independent art works. Rather than in terms of narcissism, I would describe the way of dealing with myself in reference to my surroundings. I see
my body as a membrane, a tool to relate the imaginary world in my mind to the world outside and
everyday life. This is where I start with my artistic research.
In my artistic practice I am working with different means of expression: (wall) drawings, paintings, light-boxes, sculptural or space-orientated video installations etc. All my works are to be understood
as a commentary on themselves and their conditions of existence: the product, the art market, the
demystification of the artist and the creative process. Creativity in this context is understood as an inherently human potential to be utilized by everyone while the artist sees his responsibility in serving
as a role model.
