Usue Arrieta is an artist born in the Basque Country who actually lives and works in Valencia (Spain) where she is accomplishing her Doctoral Studies y Public Art and Video. She started her Art Studies in the University of the Basque Country and she got commissioned study abroad in various Universities (Kent Institute of Art and Design in England and University of Castilla la Mancha in Spain) where had seminars with relevant artist, critics and curators as Jose Luís Brea, Angel Bados or Armando Montesinos. She graduated on 2003 from sculpture and video art and afterwards she moved to Valencia where she accomplished Master Studies in Public Art in the University of Valencia.
Her work has developed from installations and interventions in public space to a video based film-essays, where she questions concepts of human endeavors and their relations with others in a context of globalization.
